Luzerne PA prison worker layoffs likely
Luzerne County interim Manager Tom Pribula concluded an offer from prison union employees to give up a 3-percent pay increase this year would tie the hands of management. Pribula is now moving ahead with plans to lay off 11 union employees and five probationary employees on March 1, and county council members are not sure if they will vote to approve the wage-reduction deal.
