With revenues of 1.6 million dollars last year Jackson New Jersey’s Department of Building is laying out $200,000 a year more in salaries and expenses then it took in.

The Department employees 23 staff making its average tax payer expense per staff person and related costs approximately $78,000 a year, more then double the average household income of the community. The Hospital system is hoping to save about $280,000 this year by using an outside company.
