Pentair Inc. is closing a 175,000-square-foot factory in Champlin and consolidating it with a plant in Anoka.

Pentair spokeswoman Betsy Day confirmed that its McLean Cooling Technology factory will close sometime in 2010.

Some of the product manufacturing will move to Pentair’s Hoffman plant about three miles away in Anoka. Some work done at the Anoka plant will transfer to facilities in Kentucky and Mexico, she said.
