President Obama proposed cutting funding of Medicare and Medicaid by $300 Billion Dollars the same week he is pushing his plan that would force every American to buy their own health care insurance or get on a Government Program.

The President said that he wants to reduce access to MRI’s and other costly services.

The Access to Medical Imaging Coalition, a trade group, disagreed. It said the president’s plan would “impair access to diagnostic imaging services and result in patients’ delaying or forgoing life- and cost-savings imaging procedures.” The group said Obama’s efficiency estimates were based on a flawed survey.

The President also expects to get 100 billion in cuts from doing away with covering people that are uninsured.

Unfortunately today tens of billions of dollars spent by hospitals caring for uninsured is related to services provided to illegal aliens.  In many Southwestern States and those with high illegal alien populations Hospitals have been faced with not offering services. Closing their Emergency or Critical Care Centers or just closing their doors completely.

The Presidents proposed health care plan is expected to follow his campaign promise and cover illegal aliens under his government umbrella plan.

Rich Umbdenstock, president of the American Hospital Association says cuts in payments are not savings. His group is urging hospitals with large proportions of low-income patients “to push back on proposed cuts.”
