As review of her past continues Judge Sonia Sotomayor talking about how she got where she is today agrees that Affirmative Action and not her Qualities got her into her Judges Seat.

Sotomayor admitted that her acceptance to the Ivy League schools would have been “highly questionable” if not for affirmative action.

She went on to say she is a “perfect affirmative action baby,” and that she was accepted to Princeton and Yale despite her lackluster test performance compared to other applicants.

“My test scores were not comparable to that of my colleagues at Princeton or Yale,” she said on a panel for a nonprofit law organization.

Her own words have given light to how she believes Affirmative Action and Racial Bias should find its way into the courts to alter decisions based on color.

Recent reports show that she was against mandated sentences because she thought the death penalty was racist.

Additionally she found that a group of white and latino firefighters in New Haven did not have the right to sue for promotions after their local government officials threw out test scores specifically because no blacks were able to pass the test.

The New York Times relieved a video where the federal appeals court judge expresses her support for affirmative action, saying that “cultural biases built into testing”.

This is the CHANGE that we can expect then it is one not morally or constitutionally correct. All people in the USA should be judged by their actions without bias of race, sex or color.

Justice Sotomayor may be President Obama’s dream appointee but she will do nothing to help our country move ahead.
