The World Health Organization reported that over 27,000 people have been infected worldwide and 140 have died of swine flu and although the number seems low in comparison to normal flu deaths they are expected to categorize it as a Pandemic.

Each year approximately 35,000 people die in the USA alone from flu related problems. This number does have to be taken in consideration because many of the deaths include multiple influences.

The H1N1 Virus began its life in Mexico as of now there is no exact finding of how it was picked up but it is expected to have come from a hog farm outside of Mexico City.

The number of cases in the USA 13k has actually surpassed the number in Mexico 5.6k and nearly all of the deaths have been within these two countries.

The first reported transfer of the disease outside of Mexico was a Mexican family that entered the US through Texas.

President Obama has yet to implement any restrictions on travel between Mexico and the USA.
