This morning after Judge Ginsburg denied bond holders requests to delay the sale of Chrysler the deal was signed that allows President Obama to Gift Chrysler to Fiat.

Fiat a small Italian car manufacturer with assets less then 10 Billion dollars will use American Tax money to make the initial purchase of Chrysler. This will give them controlling power while the UAW and the US Government will technically own the rest of the business.

This is the largest taking of a company without consideration for the original owners or debtors in American History.

President Obama gives the reason that saving American Jobs is the reason we must finance the Gift of Chrysler to the Italian Car Maker but at the same time the sale is being finalized thousands of employees are being eliminated.

Last week a Chinese manufacturer of Agricultural Equipment made a play for GM’s Hummer Brand and liquidation of Saturn and other labels are expected to follow.

So, where does this leave our last remaining car manufacturer Ford?

If Ford who is now leveraged heavily against its assets begins to fail it will place our economy and country in serious danger.  If they need to take money from the current administration we can expect the company to be split up and sold to the highest foreign bidder. This will put us in a position where we can not manufacture military vehicles.

Ford workers must address their need for greed and weigh their unions decision to work for the breakup of their company against their own future.

The Hummer decision to sell to a Chinese company only contained 18 months of continued employment and the Fiat deal will most likely result in the closure of all Chrysler Plants and the conversion of dealerships to foreign made vehicles.

This is the exact opposite reason Unions were formed. When you have an organization that is suppose to fight for your rights working to eliminate your jobs through government financed gifts to foreign companies it is time to eliminate the Union and start over.

We are talking about new generations of workers having their future taken away because their Fathers, Uncles, Mothers and Aunts that worked for the same company want too much.

Today in many businesses workers are not even offered benefits while they are on the job let alone after they retire.  Supplemental health care must replace full plans, 90% retirement pay must be replaced with reasonable payments.

If you are no longer actively working for a company you should not expect your children to give up their chance for stability or the availability of an American Employer.

Ford Workers need to vote out the UAW in exchange for the same pay and benefit packages that American Honda and American Toyota workers get.

And if they don’t within the next 3 years the Obama Administration and the UAW will seal a deal to sell their jobs to a foreign business who will not respect their past agreements.

Its just this simple agree to what you know is right or your family and generations to come will be fighting for jobs at the Dollar Store.
