Well over 1000 cases of Swine Flu in Mexico and the United States continue to rise. Overnight another 10 people have died and New York City is now closing school for weekend activities.

75 children have symptoms at a Bronx Prep School with a number of children showing confirmed infection of the Mexican Swine Flu.

World Health Organization Officials and CDC confirm cases of infection in California, Texas and Kansas. 100 reported cases are awaiting confirmation in NYC.

51 cases have been reported in Canada with 16 being confirmed so far.

Cases in NYC have been linked to travel to Mexico however cases in other States have not been linked to direct travel of the infected persons to Mexico.

This new form of  Swine Flu can be passed human to human or pig to human. You are not at risk if you eat pork that has been cooked at 160F but contact with raw meat can pass the disease.

There have been no reported restrictions placed on travel to or from Mexico at this time.
