A number of school districts in Arizona will be forced to layoff average of  3% or 25 workers per district to cover part of the over $3 billion dollar deficit the State now has.

Arizona Teacher Unions are in a frenzy and layoff notices for many teachers have already started to go out even though the budget will not be finalized until summer.

The districts are forced to provided negotiated contracts by April in many cases and do not know whether layoffs will be required.
