A new report questions who will be getting Stimulus Plan Jobs.

In the piece the report says that it is highly likely that 300,000 Illegal Aliens may get jobs under the Presidents Plan because the employers that will receive the contracts are not required to check the backgrounds or Social Security numbers of the people that they hire.

The numbers come from the Federal Governments own U.S. Census Bureau information and public surveys showing that at least 15% of all US Building Contractor Employees are in the country Illegally.

However this report seems to be rather low when compared to statistics stated just 2 years ago by the Pennsylvania Area Carpenters and Brick layers unions where 30% or more of trade employees are said to be Illegal Aliens.

The Statistics for other areas of the country including Los Angles and Miami are even greater then those found in the Northeast where Union membership is a practical requirement for working within City Limits on Contracts of any size.

Areas with Higher then Average Latino and Hispanic Populations are well known for ignoring rules about citizenship and when combined with defined rules where city employees are not allowed to question suspected Illegal aliens the violations go unprosecuted.

Is this reasonable?

Definitely not, if US tax payers are about to foot the largest deficit ever on top of refinancing of loans that were taken out by people that never had the ability to repay them then the average American worker is the one that will be hurt.

People that take two or 3 jobs at minimum wage while a construction worker who has no right to a job gets paid $23 to $35  an hour is an outrage.

At the very minimum there should be a requirement that any contractor receiving Federal money even indirectly process their employees with the free E-Verify system but you would think that any honorable employer already has.
