The State of Indiana, through the State Student Assistance Commission of Indiana (SSACI), has been offering assistance to its college-bound citizens since 1965.
There are about 10 main programs that cover most residents of Indiana for some or full college tuition at State Institutions.
Applying for each program is different but many require that you also apply for Federal Finnancial Aid which may help you even more.
So what programs might you sign up for?
Well there is one very interesting one offered when students are in the 7th grade you sign up and maintain a C Grade Average until you graduate and you must also stay away from drugs. If your family income is about 40,000 or less then you can get tuition for In State Colleges.
That doesn’t seem like a very hard thing to follow but over 70% of residents that qualify never even apply.
Think of it this way …..
In 8th Grade Sign up … when you graduate high school your college tuition is right there if you need it and even if you get a job you can still attend college while your other friends waste time doing nothing you can get a degree and maybe a career.
Heck its free and it could be worth $24,000 or more.
For the rest of us who are a little late for that program there are many other grants and schollarships.
