US Senators Accused Of Taking Special Favor Home Loans While Banks Get Bailouts

Democratic Senator Chris Dodd who was in the running for the office of President along with other key law makers are accused of taking loans from now failing home lender Countrywide Financial.

The subject of the investigation says that the loans that Sen Dodd, Kent Conrad and others received were unavailable for the public and that the interest rates may be tied to favoritism.

Conrad has already agreed to donate to charity “probably the Send Kent Conrad To Hawaii Charity” over $10,000 that he received through these special deals.

The bad part about this is that Sen Dodd Chairs the Senate Banking Committee which was more then likely in charge of giving billions in tax payers money for bailouts to Countrywide and other financial institutions.

This is a prime example of why people are willing to spend millions of dollars to win their political office. The office salary may only be 1 to 2 hundred thousand dollars a year but with all of the extra favors, dinners and trips and graft they pickup on the way these people become millionaires.
