With revenues of 1.6 million dollars last year Jackson New Jersey’sĀ Department of Building is laying outĀ $200,000 a year more in salaries and expenses then it took in.
The Department employees 23 staff making its average tax payer expense per staff person and related costs approximately $78,000 a year, more then double the average household income of the community. This is not to say that every staff member makes $78,000. Mayor Mark Seda says the plan will go into effect around August 1st.
