Dell will be shutting down its USA based Desktop Plant in Austin Texas and buying over 18 billion dollars of hardware from China.

Chief Financial Officer Don Carty said Dell has already eliminated a total of 3,200 positions.

These additional cuts are to reduce the company’s costs by $3 billion during the next three years.

This horrible news comes after IBM the worlds largest manufacturer of PCs sold its business to a China based company and Acer purchased American Based Gateway and Packard Bell Europes largest computer manufacturer.

As a Note to Mike… You started building those things in your Dorm and now look at you… Just sell out and liquidate the company and be honest. If you are going to take away the manufacturing base and allow these things to happen just quit and go fishing with Gates.
