GM was negotiating to sell its sheet metal plant in West Mifflin PA to an outside buyer but the financer for Allegheny Holdings said that the money for the deal fell through.

The total number of employees at the plant including maintenance workers includes about 350 people who will see their jobs lost.

GM had already announced the closing of the plant last year in a wide-ranging restructuring to slash costs and has not released any information on if they will look for a new buyer.
