More than 80 West Palm Beach Sears Essentials employees were given notice on Monday that layoffs will come as early as April, according to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.

The closing of Sears Essentials at 4560 Forest Hill Blvd. in West Palm Beach will leave 81 employees without jobs

The company announced it will close up to 120 full-line Kmart and Sears stores across the country in order to generate up to $170 million in cash.
