Parents of hundreds of children who have lost their right to chose the school their children attend protested the Obama administration today in Washington DC.

The battle has been ongoing since President Obama took office. It seems that the public school union influenced the cancellation of vouchers in DC and after much debate this spring and summer a few hundred children will not be allowed to return to school.

The protesters were primarily parents of African American children who used the vouchers to pay for a portion of their children’s tuition.

President Obama’s own children attend private school in the nation’s capitol and some students from their school were turned away this week as classes began.
